The dream is becoming a reality after 10 years and and various iterations. Palm Springs has approved the Dream Hotel. This project includes 171 hotel rooms, 34 condos and a meeting space on a 7.8 acre parcel near the the convention center.
One unique aspect of the project is a raised garden area and ‘farmhouse.’ This garden will provide some of the produce used in the hotel’s restaurants.
“The whole intention is that the whole site is actually farmed, and it is a true farm-to-table concept that we’re implementing,” Kibby told the Palm Springs Architectural Advisory Committee in February.
The hotel, which is target the 35-55 age bracket, plans to open by the end of 2018.
