Glimpse The Future Phases of the 10 Acre City Market Project in the Fashion District

Who says the Arts District can be the only development hip hot spot downtown? The Fashion District will soon be home the largest development in DTLA.

The 10 acre CMLA project that will replace a century old wholesale produce market will feature several buildings that provide a little bit of everything: “945 residential units, 210 hotel rooms, 225,000 square feet of commercial space and 312,000 square feet of educational space.” In all, the $1 billion project will add 3.3-million-square-foot of space.

The architect firm says the Fashion District development will be a “sympathetic approach to the program that allows it to retain the character of the Fashion District’s local business while sensitively providing a mix of new uses.”
